This policy explains what information the Valcord bot services process when helping run Discord and connected Minecraft communities.
Information is collected only when needed for enabled features, server safety, and reliable operation.
Helps communities prevent abuse, enforce server rules, and maintain moderation records.
Measures eligible server activity to award XP, achievements, levels, and role rewards.
Manages server subscriptions and roles, and publishes or updates informational messages.
Produces server insights from community activity, membership, and engagement patterns.
Relays chat between Discord and Minecraft and checks Discord roles for access or feature permissions.
A note about messages Message content may be processed when a feature depends on it, such as moderation, determining eligible activity, or relaying chat through Valcraft. Messages sent through Valcraft may be displayed to users on the connected Discord and Minecraft servers. The bots may also store message identifiers and activity records without retaining the full message.
We use collected information only to operate, secure, and improve the bots and the features a Discord server enables. This includes:
We do not sell personal information or use bot data for third-party advertising.
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, preserve security or moderation history, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by data type and server configuration.
Server administrators may request deletion of their server’s configuration and associated bot data. Individual users may also request access to or deletion of data linked to their Discord account. Some records may be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, or legitimate moderation records.
Server administrators control whether the bots are installed and which features, channels, and roles they can access. Users can limit future collection by leaving a server that uses the bots or asking a server administrator about server-specific settings.
To make a privacy request, contact the Valcord team through the official support channel and include your Discord user ID and, if relevant, the server ID. We may need to verify that you control the account or server before acting on a request.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can guarantee absolute security.
The bots are intended for people who may lawfully use Discord. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required by Discord or applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this policy as the bots, our practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published. Material changes may also be announced through the bots or an official Valcord community channel.
